Personal Background

BioLegal was established in March 2009 by Nikolet Zwart:

             

"Since childhood I am passionate about humans, nature, food, and health.
Especially the interaction between one and other fascinates me.
Globally, various laws, agreements and treaties intend to streamline such relations, 
balancing between various interests and moral convictions.
This, combined with a sense of justice, made me attend law school.  

After graduating and working for 1 year as ‘para-legal’ on Curaçao (1996),
I started working as an attorney at law for a large law firm in The Netherlands. 
Right from the start, I was involved in (public and private) research co-operations between several multinationals (amongst others in the breeding and sale of vegetable and flower seeds). 

During my 13 years of being an attorney at law, I had the privilege to get a grasp of the complicated
and multidimensional fields of business of crop breeding, health care, public/private partnerships
and (red and green) biotechnology.

This was enhanced by having had the opportunity to work internally
within a biotechnology company and a vegetable breeding company.
 
At this point in my life (2009), everything perfectly comes together in BioLegal."
